Psalm 2:10-12

Please keep praying for Jon in Moldova and the others working around the world today. Thank you for those prayers. Keep studying my friend, the Word is our daily bread.

-------------------------------------------
Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
        Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear,
        And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
        And you perish in the way,
        When His wrath is kindled but a little.
        Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalm 2:10-12

With all of the political double talk going on these days, it is important to keep in mind who our reigning King is; the Lord Almighty. This passage serves as a warning to all leaders of this world, and does include us as well. Mankind has forgotten that it is God who creates nations and builds people up. Benjamin Franklin who said, “If a bird cannot fall to the ground without God’s notice, is it possible for a Nation to raise up without His aid.” Long have we forgotten His power.

Trust in the Lord above all rulers of this world. There is so much going on these days with people trying to gain power. Do not lose sight that the Lord. He does tell us to be submissive to our authorities, but at the same time we have freedom to choose those who will be in power. Beyond the ballot box, we have the prayer closet, and that is far greater than anything. So pray, and trust in our King.
